I was very surprised and thrilled to have my front garden nominated for a garden contest here on the military base. They have a Christmas contest and a summer garden one. I had complained to my hubby that everything looked like it was not doing very well and that I needed more color. A week before the contest I bought more things and planted (not even realizing then that there even was a contest). The crew came by the other day and asked if they could take a picture for the contest and I was thrilled to say the least. I guess it was nicer then I was thinking. LOL Makes ya feel like it's all worth it when others like it too.
