The spirit of Christmas is creeping into my house.

I love this time of year. Although the flowers are pretty much dead and gone until the warmth of a new spring day...I can always count on decorating for the holidays to brighten my days. I love to bring out the many trees I have to decorate with new things. I have taken a liking to Cardinals lately and last year I decided one of my mini trees was going to be dedicated to them. I already have a new cardinal ornament to adorn the tree when I get it out. I only have a few things out as of today, but this coming weekend all of it will be out including the Christmas tree my girls enjoy decorating as a family. Here is a smackeral of things I have out to celebrate the holidays.

For the seasons I use these same candles and decorate them to match...This year for Christmas I've added the red ribbon to the candles and the sprig of greenery with red berries...the pinecones stay year round as I enjoy having them no matter what season.

This year is the first year for the greenery, white lights and berries above my cupboards...I love the look and will continue to do this every year.

This fella was bought yesterday at Michael's Arts and crafts store on sale...he is a woodland Santa that just grabbed at my heart strings. I love his jacket with the quilted look and the cardinal "blanket stitched" was a bonus. He is blending well with my primitive country decor and I love him.

Here is the tall rusty tin that I painted up two years ago. Last year and every year from now on it will house the fake snowballs and greenery that I made for it. I learned how to make the snowballs from another primitive lover...they are very easy. If anyone wants to know how they are made to place in a container or in a dough bowl on your table as a decoration...just leave a message in the comments section and I'll tell you.
