O.k. so I have all the excuses in the world about why I haven't posted in a long time, but you aren't going to hear them now...LOL I am going to go right into the fun stuff. New painted shutters for my house (o.k. so they were the old ones and I just painted them a different color, but hey...they are new to me. LOL) Flowers are bloomin' in my prim garden. Here's the pics and I won't even keep ya waitin'. Sorry for anyone waitin' on an update.

Here's the before of the shutters...they were a light blue that just sort of blended in with the siding and I hated that color.

AND....the after...Oh I love that red. It really pops off the siding and makes me smile.

The beginnings of color in my garden...the creeping phlox is doing great this spring. I love this stuff..so lush lookin'.

Wow! Gorgeous flowers and I love the shutters!
NOTHING is happening in my garden in Arizona right now as we approach temps in the 100's - basically everything comes to a standstill until monsoons. (AND THEN I HAVE TO WEED ONCE THE RAIN HITS!)
I am a bitter woman from June until Sept. (too hot to BREATHE!) so I will just enjoy the beauty of summer through your garden!
LOL....Thanks...I'll try and keep the flower posts comin' then. LOL I would hate not to be able to get out in the gardens and enjoy the day because of the heat and such. My mom has beautiful gardens, but the blackflies and mosquitos just eat them alive in the "boonies" that if they go out for a minute they are all over them. UG....I am happy with being in the city and not having that aggravation. Thanks again. (What do I call you...I don't want to say "Moron Family"....LOL)

Laughing! (Moron Family is our equivalent of the family from the Vacation movies - they were always doing "dorky" things. LONG STORY!) Anywho... call me Margie!
And thanks for keeping the flower pics coming! I check in often! I just lost another flower this week due to the heat. I literally have to water twice a day to keep most things alive at this point although I do have some cactus and lantana that are surviving! I think my problem is that I garden with a back east mentality and I need to surrender and go desert landscape!
I forgot about the mosquitos! Too hot for them here but yes, I remember them! We just have to worry about rattlesnakes and scorpions. :-) Makes ya wanna rush here and set up housekeeping, eh?
Have a wonderful summer!!! PLEASE keep the pictures coming!!! :-)
Margie
