So with the boulders now in the yard, I plan to dig a nice flower bed around them and have it be a raised bed..simply meaning that the flower bed will not be even with the ground, but the soil piled up in a mound with the boulders and flowers placed on it. Like this....Sample of raised bed.

Picture of a raised bed...As you can see from this picture the plantings and the sign are above normal level of the ground. I think with a raised bed it will add more interest...what do you think? "To raise..or not to raise" that is the question. LOL









Here is a picture of the "rail fence" kind of country fence that I want to go around the front "half circle plot". I think that this country style fence will add such interest to the front yard as well as keep the school kids from trampling my garden...OH YEAH....I'd not be a happy camper if that happened. Mmmmm NO. LOL
