O.k. so just like a kid in the candy store I decided to go and "browze" what the Garden center had for "goodies". LOL I was a good girl until all the colors of the flowers and the greens of the leaves started taunting me. LOL I immediately go straight for the kill and grab up a beautiful RED (yip..my fave color for the outdoors)Rhododendron. Now I know that Rhodies as they are called for short are normally large and over powering in a garden and so I asked the lady if there was any sort of Rhodie that would be smaller then normal and this is what she showed me....

This is a "dwarf" rhodie that only reaches about 2 to 3 feet high and 2 to 3 feet wide...perfect for the flower bed that I want for the front yard "rock garden".

This is the name of the Rhodie..."Scarlet wonder" Rhododendron BEAUTIFUL red flowers.

The other plant I got as it just called my name...Hee hee was a Forsythia bush. Now I know that normally these are pretty large too and didn't want it to over power my garden and smaller plants that I plan to put in there, but when I looked at the tag it read "Height: 2 feet" I was stunned...I guess this one is a "lower lying forsythia bush" that doesn't get large like it's name sake. Hmmmmmm I'll TAKE IT. LOL

The name....."Gold Tide" Forsythia beautiful yellow blossoms that will look great along side my Rhodie.

Yip....My garden has officially BEGUN. LOL
