Here's my dwarf Forsythia bush in the first part of April 09
Mid April it started to get some blooming....
Now today May 4th, 09 it's just wonderful...and more to open I'm sure.
Here's a closeup of one of my Hens from my "hens and chicks"
This is a picture of the before (this is what I want to work on this summer) privacy along the back to stop the school kids and people walking by seeing into my back yard. Greenery and then eventually more flowers for this long stretch of fence.
It runs the full length of my backyard and really needs some "appeal" I'm thinking of an evergreen to keep the privacy all year round!
UPDATE.......
This is a few pictures of the Dwarf Forsythia after it completely finished flowering...it was the only bit of color I had in May (other then a few Violas/pansies)
Here is a view of my garden from the front door...as you can see my neighbor across the street has a "full sized" forsythia that blooms around the same time as mine. This picture was taken around Mid May....

Tara, this is Lynn/Okc, from over on the country sampler forums. I lost your blog link and one of the ladies posted it today for me on the CS forum. It is sooo good to be back in touch with you! I am still lovin' my sunflower/birdhouse pie tin painting that you did for me. It's still hanging on my kitchen wall.. still sooo very pretty! I also still have the beautiful sunflower magnet on my fridge too... Love them both!!
I went and checked out your blog here, and have totally fell in love with everything that you've painted! Especially the painting of the ships you did for your father in law. Such a real treasure, that's for sure!
Your flowers and gardens are gorgeous! They are so beautiful and very colorful! I've got my work cut out for me this year, as I hope to have pretty colorful flower gardens in my front yard, and in our back yard too.. I thnk they add so much curb appeal to one's home.... Love your house and all the inside decorating too! You've done a beautiful job on everything!
Your girls sure have grown! They both are so very pretty!!
Now that I have your blog address once again, I will come back and visit you often...
Please come and visit us all over on the CS forums too... Love to have you visit us, that's for sure!
Take care now...
Love & Blessings,
~Lynn/OKC
Oh Lynn....it's so great to hear from you! I am glad you still enjoy my paintings that I did for you. You were always a sweetie. I will have to pop over to CS for a visit soon. I'm keeping busy...Not on the computer or t.v. watching lately...just trying to be outside when it's nice in my garden. I hope to see your garden pics...will you post them on CS? HUGS and thanks again for dropping in.
