Painted retirement gift for my father in law.

My father in law retired from the Canadian Coast Guard on January 17th after many many years in it. My mother in law let me borrow a picture of his "old" ship that he started out on and then a picture of the recent ship. I took those and painted him this picture for a gift for his retirement. He loved it. Said he'd treasure it forever and just kept looking at it...I was very happy to say the least. He actually said that he thought it was a picture of his ship until he took a closer look and noticed it was painted...that was great. LOL

I'm blown away by your talent Tara. The painting is truly a special gift. What a great idea putting the two ships together in one setting.

Thank you Shirlee and Sue....he did love it and even had a few tears that he was gingerly wiping. It was so rewarding when he said just that Sue..."I'll treasure it forever". Thanks again.
